Quote of the Day – 3/27
“Not only do I not support him, but I
recommend he resign so the city can heal
and move forward.”
-Greg Mathis, a former Detroit 36th District Court judge

This statement coming from Mathis less than a day after Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s office confirmed they would form a legal defense fund. It had been reported that Mathis would be one of the committee’s leaders.
Way to go Mathis! Let those idiots know!
Just another lie from the Kwamster…
King Kong James?
What do you think of this cover photo?

Simple question: does this offend you?
Some people out there are saying they find the photo inappropriate.
Perhaps there is a connotative meaning to this photo. It is being compared to this:

I can see where people may draw that distinction.
I personally do not find it offensive. Then again, I am not an African-American.
So again I ask, whatever color you may be: Do YOU find this offensive or do YOU understand why it may be?

Jennifer Aniston in CMU apparel!

Here, we have a photo of Jennifer Aniston starring in the upcoming film for the book “Marley & Me.”
Aniston is co-starring with Owen Wilson in the moive.
For those that don’t know, the book’s author John Grogan is a Central Michigan University grad.
As a recent CMU alum, it is awesome to see Aniston wearing some Central Michigan apparel because: 1) I went there, 2) probably not many people know about CMU and 3) she’s hot!

“If everyone’s here,” he said, “University of
Ohio State.”

Video: Donald Brashear Knockout Punch – Capitals vs. Bruins 3/8/08
YES! I found it…I finally found it!
After some extensive searching I have found the video I was looking for.
I saw this highlight on Sportscenter the other night and was amazed.
The Boston Bruins faced-off against the Washington Capitals on March 8 and the game was host to several fights and scrums.
This clip however, takes the cake for me.
Donald Brashear has been known to fight…often. In this little clip right here, he gives Shane Hnidy a knockout blow directly to the face!
Granted, Brashear had just gotten a double minor for high-sticking, so Hnidy had a right to defend his teammate. But, c’mon, you gotta defend yourself better than that, Hnidy!
“I saw [Hnidy] coming at me, and I lost my cool,” Brashear said. “I didn’t mean to punch him that hard. … Stuff like that happens, but it was a mistake and you have to control your emotions.“
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did…
Red Wings vs. Rangers…Outdoors?
It looks like the Detroit Red Wings could be a possible opponent to play the New York Rangers next season.
“So what?” you might say.
Here’s what: the game is scheduled to be played at Yankee Stadium.

According to the New York Daily News and the Detroit News, a deal moving toward being finalized to have the Rangers play at the historic stadium during the 2008-2009 season. The Yankees will be moving to a new stadium during the 2009 baseball season.
While the possibility of playing another NY-based team (the Islanders or the Devils) are being talked-up, the more likely opponents could be the Red Wings or even possibly the Boston Bruins.
Having the Rangers play the Bruins or Wings would be somewhat of an ode to the Original Six NHL teams. The Chicago Blackhawks are also reportedly interested.
NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said the game is “not a done deal.”
The idea for the game comes off of the success of the most recent outdoor NHL game, between host Buffalo and Pittsburgh on Jan. 1, which drew 71,000 to Ralph Wilson Stadium.
