Producer Mashes Jay-Z and Red Hot Chili Peppers

I’m a big fan of Jay-Z.

I’m a big fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I’m an even bigger fan of when the two are combined, which is exactly what producer Handcancel has done: take Jay-Z’s American Gangster album and combine it with beats and riffs of the RHCP.

And what is the end result? American Chili Gangster.

It’s a really cool concept and a really good mash-up. Here are few of my favorites on the album:

Audio: Avenged Sevenfold - Crossroads

I recently came across this video (really just audio) for a song called “Crossroads,” a B-Side track off of Avenged Sevenfold’s latest self-titled album. The band released it on January 17.

The song is pretty good but sounds quite a bit different than the rest on the album.

Audio: Gnarls Barkley - Run

As reported a few days earlier, Gnarls Barkley has a much anticipated album coming out in 2008 that everyone will be waiting for.

Well, wait no further! Here’s a sneak peak at one of the songs off of the album entitled “Run”

Personally, I love the song. Gnarls can do no wrong by me. But, let me know what you think.
