Quote of the Day: 5/1

“Let’s be honest, here I am an African

American named Barack Obama who’s

running for president. I mean, that’s a

leap for folks.”

Obama Gets The Boss’ Approval

It looks like Bruce Springsteen has pledged his public support for Barack Obama. Here’s what he had to say…

“At the moment, critics have tried to diminish Senator Obama through the exaggeration of certain of his comments and relationships,” said the New Jersey native, in a statement posted on his Web site Wednesday. “While these matters are worthy of some discussion, they have been ripped out of the context and fabric of the man’s life and vision… Over here on E Street, we’re proud to support Obama for President.”

In February, Springsteen stated a few reasons to USA Today as to why he likes Obama:

“I always look at my work as trying to measure the distance between American promise and American reality,” he told the paper. “And I think (Obama’s) inspired a lot of people with that idea: How do you make that distance shorter?”

Let ‘em know Boss!

Quote of the Day - 3/27

“Not only do I not support him, but I

recommend he resign so the city can heal

and move forward.”

-Greg Mathis, a former Detroit 36th District Court judge

mathis.jpg

This statement coming from Mathis less than a day after Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s office confirmed they would form a legal defense fund. It had been reported that Mathis would be one of the committee’s leaders.

Way to go Mathis! Let those idiots know!

Just another lie from the Kwamster…

King Kong James?

What do you think of this cover photo?

large_cover.jpg

Simple question: does this offend you?

Some people out there are saying they find the photo inappropriate.

Perhaps there is a connotative meaning to this photo. It is being compared to this:

kingkong.jpg

I can see where people may draw that distinction.

I personally do not find it offensive. Then again, I am not an African-American.

So again I ask, whatever color you may be: Do YOU find this offensive or do YOU understand why it may be?

Jennifer Aniston in CMU apparel!

anistoncmu.jpg

Here, we have a photo of Jennifer Aniston starring in the upcoming film for the book “Marley & Me.”

Aniston is co-starring with Owen Wilson in the moive.

For those that don’t know, the book’s author John Grogan is a Central Michigan University grad.

As a recent CMU alum, it is awesome to see Aniston wearing some Central Michigan apparel because: 1) I went there, 2) probably not many people know about CMU and 3) she’s hot!
